chocolate cake


Taadaah!! I can’t believe I made this myself…from SCRATCH!  :P
Chloe turns 4 today and since I promised myself to at least prepare something myself for her birthday, I made these for her daycare party.

It’s sooo good, want to try? I can share you the recipe :P

Super Moist Chocolate Cupcakes with Cream cheese frosting:

 Super Moist Chocolate Cupcakes:
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 + 2 tbsp flour
  • 1/4 cup + 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 3/4 tsp baking soda
  • 3/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • 1/4 cup of canola oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 cup boiling water
-Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
-Fill muffin pans with 24 cupcake liners.
-Sift dry ingredients into a large bowl.
-Add egg, milk, canola oil and vanilla
-Beat with a mixer for  about 2 minutes.
-Add boiling water, and beat until blended
-Pour the batter into the liners
-Bake for 20-25 minutes.

Cream Cheese Frosting:

  • 2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened

  • 2 cups sifted confectioners' sugar

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • Icing color, if desired



  • - In a medium bowl, cream the cream cheese and butter untli creamy.
    - Add confectioners' sugar gradually
    - Beat in the vanilla extract and icing color
